Ghilotti Construction was a Platinum Level sponsor of the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Student Competition this past weekend in Reno, Nevada.

The annual ASC Student Competition challenges top college teams to present solutions to complex construction problems in one of 12 categories, including estimating, bidding, planning, scheduling, presentation skills, creativity, understanding of sound construction techniques and thoughtful methodologies.

Students are given a set amount of time (12-18 hours) to perform various construction industry tasks, including but not limited to, scheduling, estimating, site utilization, safety, coordination of the work, contract negotiation, pre-construction services, quality control, personnel issues, model building, unforeseen site conditions, etc.

We’re proud of all the hard work and amazed by the talent displayed at the event. Great job to all the competitors, and congratulations to this year’s winning teams!
