Project Overview
The Petaluma Widening Project completes Sonoma County’s plan for Highway 101 between Petaluma and Windsor to boost transit and carpool use, improve highway safety and traffic operations at interchanges and support evacuations during emergencies. The three-year project included funding from the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 and from Sonoma County’s Measure M.

- The recycle and reuse of 110,000 tons of aggregate material with nearly 50,000 tons produced on-site from the old freeway facilities
