We Take Care of the Community

Our founder James Ghilotti’s guiding principle—“Take care of the community and the people who work for you.”—has been part of the bedrock of Ghilotti Construction Company (GCC) since 1914.

We take care of the community in many ways. As a company, we actively contribute to the community through financial support, in-kind donations of capital improvements, and employee volunteerism for various nonprofit organizations. We’re also a major supporter of industry-related organizations that are advancing the heavy civil construction sector. These organizations include North Coast Builders Exchange, United Contractors, Marin Builders Association, and Northern California Engineering Contractors Association.

Our employees are deeply engaged in community service. Organizing annual food drives in partnership with the Redwood Empire Food Bank, participating in Sonoma County’s Secret Santa for less fortunate children, and actively volunteering at the food bank warehouse in Santa Rosa are among the many ways our people act on their passion for philanthropy and for GCC’s commitment to take care of the community. Their commitment also extends to city park clean-ups in Santa Rosa, volunteering at the food bank distribution, and assisting many other nonprofit organizations throughout the Bay Area.
